Hello! I am Amy. I have been a Secondary School Maths teacher since 2005. I am relatively new to Apricot (2023), but already feel at home and lucky to be working with such amazing staff and students. I absolutely love teaching, there is no other feeling like it when you see students have those ‘light bulb’ moments. It is a privilege to be able to build relationships with students, share my passion for Maths, and inspire a future generation. Mathematics is the universal language that is all around us.
I love spending time completing logic puzzles and watching performances by the illusionist Derren Brown (who often uses Mathematical-based tricks). In my spare time I enjoy family days out with our beloved spaniel Oscar. Watch out for us if you ever visit the Lake District as he loves coming paddle-boarding with me!
